What is chemical tempering?
Chemical tempering, also called chemical strengthening, increases glass surface compression through an ion-exchange process. It can improve strength while supporting thin or complex glass that may not suit traditional heat tempering.
What to confirm before buying
- Target thickness, dimensions, strength expectation, and application.
- Whether the part needs holes, shaping, polishing, printing, coating, or lamination.
- Inspection criteria, packing method, and replacement tolerance for breakage-sensitive shipments.
